INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISING ACCOUNT (IFA)
An IFA is an accounting record created to track and house an individual student’s fundraised earnings.
- Fundraised earnings are tracked in the student’s Charms account. The balance rolls over year-to-year.
- Earnings can be applied towards a range of mandatory expenses, such as class-specific materials, activity fees, school-owned instrument rental fees, formalwear fees, ILMEA fees, extra material fees, mandatory T-Shirts, costume fees, as well as travel expenses related to class trips, extracurricular activities and summer camps.
- Earnings cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be used for optional purchases such as food, Spiritwear not required for participation, personal instruments & related supplies/repairs, tickets to attend music department performances, etc.
- Unused earnings remaining at the end of a student’s senior year will either:
A) transfer to the IFA of the student’s enrolled or incoming sibling, or
or B) transfer to the Boosters General Fund if there is no sibling |
- To apply earnings toward a required fee or an IFA-designated class trip, simply submit the electronic IFA Transfer Form found on the website: http://www.lwwmusic.org/ifa-transfer-request. The LWWMB Treasurer will process eligible requests and apply available earnings as payment.
